Kia ora, Talofa, Greetings.

I’m a Cantabrian, and proud of my Mene and Flynn heritage. Dad came from Samoa in 1967 and met Mum at the Technical Athletics club in Opawa. A few years later I arrived and I now live in Hoon Hay with my wife Leanne and our two daughters.

My personal and professional aspirations are for my family to grow and thrive in a healthy, safe, strong learning community. To achieve this I left the police after 11 years and joined Leanne in developing two business ventures. Our fitness centre and community development consultancy both allow us to ‘work’ and ‘live’ our own values.

I bring experience and knowledge to the community board from work in the economic development, education, health, social development and justice sectors. I see my role as connecting, enabling and supporting people and organisations to build and sustain stronger communities. I hope for another term on the community board to continue this role.

Many thanks to Council staff for some wonderful work over the past three years, especially to the team at the Beckenham Service Centre. Thanks also to our wonderful advocates and leaders in our South Christchurch communities.

Kind regards,
